Louisa Wendorff, an American singer/songwriter will release her new single “Arrow” on June 17th. Co – written with award winning producer Loren Johnson, “Arrow” features on the Los Angeles born singer’s debut album, of the same name, that is set to drop on the same day.

Louisa has already made a name for herself in the online stratosphere by posting covers on Youtube, and the if the figures are anything to go by, “Arrow” is shaping up to be a huge hit. In only one month of releasing three covers to Youtube, Louisa has garnered over 100k views and has established a strong online fan base.

The single was recently hailed by Second Fleet Magazine as a “delicate indie-pop record that should delight supporters of Louisa’s breakthrough single.” Her voice has a crystalline and ethereal presence  Ellie Golding and Ella Fitzgerald are some of her nearest sonic relatives, and its no surprise why the internet has fallen for this years youngest emerging artist.

The video supporting the release is already subject of media buzz, with scenes shot 3000 ft above Nashville in a hot air balloon and tackles hard hitting issues including domestic violence and child abuse.

When asked about the inspiration behind the new release Louisa explained. “Arrow” is about the courage to rise above circumstance, the importance of self-worth and the true beauty that lies in every person. She explained that growing up in LA, there was a lot of focus on worth and credentials, people thought so much of what others thought of them and this idea was very overwhelming. Louisa’s message is very clear and the media often glamourises the importance of beauty in mainstream music. The stress that girls face to conform is an issue close to Louisa’s heart and “Arrow” represents her passion and how every girl should be passionate about themselves.

The standout singles of the latest E.P include her debut release “Arrow” “And Dance” and the haunting ballad “By Your Side”. Louisa will be headlining Ditto Music’s Mercy Lounge Nashville on the 16th June, the day before the release of her debut album on the 17th June.

The single “Arrow” is available now with pre-order of the latest EP on iTunes.
